Meeting called to order 12:50PM
Attendees: Wayne Kopp, Mike Kirkby, Dave Boyle, Jack Gjeldum, Dave Boyle, Dave Freni, Arnie Walker, Keith Van Emmerik, Russ Warren and Will Lowe(Russ and Will 1st half).
Approved minutes from previous 9/12/2024 Board meeting.
League sign-up
- Jack and Russ provided update on sign-up procedures and testing. System is ready for November 1stleague sign-up start.
- Jack will mass email to all BSS players indicating league sign up period is 11/1-18/2024. Registration will be available at the Bray fields after games on Nov 4, 7, 11, 14 and 18.
- Fees for league play will remain $45 and sponsor’s fee will remain $150.
Player Ratings
- Keith will send Excel template to ratings committee members by next week. Members are Keith, Wayne, Mike K., Dave B. and Dave F.
- Jack will send mass message to unrated players that haven’t been observed enough by rating committee to be rated. They will be advised to show up to play on Monday, Thursday or at Saturday practices to be rated within the next 3 weeks if they intend on participating in league play.
Ball Inventory
- Keith advised that supply of balls is good and additional Baden balls(balls BSS is switching to) will be ordered when Dudleys are all used.
Financial
- Jack confirmed BSS is in good financial standing
Monday League Managers and League Coordinator
- Managers are: Angelo Lombardo, Ed Pugh, Russ Markovic, Dave Boyle, John DiClemente and Jon Vruggink.
- Carolyn Wilberts has accepted the role of Monday League Coordinator.
We want to thank Marc During for his participation as Monday League Coordinator last year.
Tuesday League Managers and Coordinator
- Managers are: Greg Lewandowski, Vinny Uliano, Dave Freni and possibly Bob Hall (Bob is not yet confirmed), and “not yet determined” vie Ken Krecji.
- Coordinator is Arnie Walker
Thursday Competitive League Managers and Coordinator
- Managers are: Wayne Kopp, John Yeakle, Renalie Prodigalidad, Darryl Triesch and Arnie Walker.
- Coordinator is Greg Lewandowski
Thursday Recreation League Managers and Coordinator
- Managers are: Mike Kirkby, Mike Mancuso, Angelo Lombardo, Ed Pugh and Russ Markovic
- Coordinator is John DiClemente
Code of Conduct
- Dave Boyle presented a draft Code of Conduct for BSS. Under the existing BSS rules “General” section on the BSS web site, there is a small section related to BSS participant “Behavior”. The Board agreed to strengthen the conduct portion of the rules and the Board agreed to the draft Dave presented.
- In addition, the board agreed to add the following statement:
- “Violation of the player/manager Code of Conduct my result in suspension for a number of games or the entire season, depending on severity of violation as determined by the BSS Board.”
Umpires
- BSS continues to need individuals willing to be umpires. Anyone interested, please contact Dave Freni.
