Lynne Joan (Marck) McDonough, 78, of Bradenton, FL passed away peacefully on Friday, January 20, 2023. Born to John and Thordis Marck of Princeton, NJ she attended Princeton High School and went on to graduate with a bachelor’s degree from Western Maryland College. She was a high school biology teacher and later became Assistant Dean of Engineering at Princeton University. Lynne married Jack McDonough in 1996 where they blended their families to include Jack’s 5 daughters & husbands with Lynne’s son and daughter. Over the 26 years of their marriage their family grew to include her children’s spouses, a total of 22 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Her retirement brought her to Bradenton where she continued to demonstrate her care for others through volunteering. She delivered meals to those in need with Meals on Wheels. She helped several children through Big Brother and Sisters. Finally, she volunteered at a doctor’s office to help provide care for patients.
Lynne was a dynamic redhead who had a zest for living. She was best known for her quick- witted humor and generous spirit. She loved to travel, especially on cruises! She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, John McDonough; her sister, Sally Marck, of Williamsburg, VA; her brother, Jack Marck and his wife, Pam of Bradenton, FL; her 5 nieces and nephews and 6 grandnieces and grandnephews. Her children, John Olsh II and his wife Leslie, their children Zackery and Zoey, Kristen Olsh Benjamin and her children, Jocelynne, Nathan and their father, Matthew Benjamin. Her stepchildren, Beth and Chris Romanowski and their children, Sara, Stephanie and Ryan Garrity, Julie and John Winzenried, their children, Chrystal, Tiffanie, Jazmine and John; Jennifer and Mark Sivilich and their children, Nicholas, Haley, Jacquie and Luke Wright; Laura and John Pittman and their children, Kelsey, Brady, Madison and Rutger; Tricia and Gerry Simmons and their children, Kevin Morgan Brown, Brian, Zack, Tyler and Tucker; her three great-granddaughters, Charolette and Lorelei Wright and Olivia Garrity.
There will be a Celebration of her love for family, friends, life and laughter 1:00PM,
Saturday, March 18, 2023, in the afternoon at Perico Bay Club House; 11701 Manatee Ave W, Bradenton, FL 34209. Light refreshments will be available after the celebration.
