Approved November 20, 2025 Board minutes
1. Draft Review –
a. All board members agreed that drafts for all leagues went well even with the difficulty of recruiting enough players for 4 teams for Tuesdays.
b. Motion was made for next season to make competitive leagues(Tuesday and Thursday) for 1-4 rated players only. Motion was made to ensure the competitive league maintains a high level of play and attract the better players.
Board concurred.
In summary for 2027:
• Monday League – Players of all ratings 1-6
• Tuesday League – Players rated 1-4
• Thursday Competitive – Players rated 1-4
• Thursday Recreational – Players rated 3-6
c. Agreed to last meeting and made official this meeting.
Motion was made for next season to require payment at time of registration as it has been in the past, but was not for 2026. Motion was due to players registering this year without paying and then having to remind players to pay.
Board concurred with pay at time of registration.
2. Keith made a motion to consider consolidating drafts to one or two days. The current two week process doesn’t allow enough time to have sponsor team shirts available for the 1st league games.
One concept considered was conducting both Competitive league drafts (Tuesday/Thursday) on Monday and Rec leagues (Monday/Thurs) on Thursday of the same week. By eliminating a week from draft process, Keith would have more time for assigning and ordering sponsor team shirts.
It will be an agenda item for the next board meeting to work out the details.
3. Banner was stolen off of outfield fence. We will not replace, but will talk to Bray again about us placing a sign at the entrance to softball field parking lot.
4. Keith reported that we’ve acquired all the balls necessary for league play
5. Financials – BSS is in good financial standings
